It’s certainly been a long time coming and a question on everyone’s minds, but at last it’s finally been revealed, as below is the full confirmed cast for the long awaited Star Wars sequel Episode VII. Recently released on StarWars.com is the following full casting announcement:
“The Star Wars team is thrilled to announce the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.”
“Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Green, and Max Von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film”
When speaking of the finally revealed casting director J.J. Abrams stated “We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”
It looks like we’ve plenty to get excited about for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, whilst it was always clear that we’d no doubt be seeing the original lead trio it’s great to have definite confirmation. Furthermore it’s interesting to see the likes of the Andy Serkis being cast given how well known he is for his motion capture work in films such as The Lord Of The Rings and the more recent Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Alongside Adam Driver who is rumoured to have been cast as a villain there’s several new faces also cast with plenty of speculation to be had on the roles they might play.
