The Mass Effect trilogy was one of the greatest and most expansive console experiences of the last generation, if you missed it then, you’ll be pleased at the possibility of it arriving on our next generation consoles soon. In a listing unveiled via IGN on Chilean games website Zmart Games it appears that this certainly is the case. While the listing provides no further details regarding pricing or release date it’s intriguing to see it out there in the retail environment.
Given that the last high profile next generation remastering ‘The Last of Us: Remastered’ was itself leaked online by a games retailer it’s quite telling that this could indeed be the first signs to point toward the game making it to next generation. The trilogy has been discussed before in the past months with keen twitter users asking members of bioware about the possibility of a next gen remastering. The response from Aaryn Flynn the general manager of bioware’s Edmonton and Montreal studios was that “We have discussed that internally. If we can put solid plans together we’ll share. Great to hear you’re keen” very promising indeed.
Whilst the listing could be simply based on rumours its telling to note Bioware have discussed this and it could of course be tactical on their part to keep the game under wraps whilst having been developed. We’re very keen to see the trilogy on the PS4 and Xbox One and will absolutely be queing up for a copy to give it another go when it releases.
