LEGO Dimensions looks to be one of the most promising games coming to consoles this year with it’s amazing toys-to-life concept that brings LEGO to life both physically and digitally. Since its announcement last week (See the video here!), a big question for LEGO fans and collectors has been ‘will the figures be permanently attached to their bases’? Given that the game features exclusive Minifigures it’s a question collectors really wanted to know. Finally we have an answer!
The @LEGODimensions official Twitter had confirmed that they will indeed be removable from their bases and apparently capable of reaching speeds of up to 88mph according to the tweet below:-

Great news for collectors and for kids who’d want to play with these awesome Minifigures too. This will for many, solidify their need for the game, further adding to the inevitable collectibility that toys-to-life games like Skylanders, Disney Infinity and Nintendo’s highly sought Amiibo figurines have. We’d suggest getting those preorders in as soon as possible, there’s every chance that rare figures like the Wicked Witch of The West will be highly collectible after the games launch and years into the future should they not be produced elsewhere.
What do you think to the look of LEGO Dimensions? At GAMR we think the game has huge potential and are looking forward to learning more about the gameplay and all those awesome characters set to be revealed further down the line. Let us know what you think and what sets you expect to pick up at launch in the comments below.
LEGO Dimensions is set to launch on September 29th 2015 and will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
