X-Wing revealed on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII

In a new video released today by J.J. Abrams direct from the set of the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, which details a new charity initiative “Force for change” it looks like we get our first glimpse at what could be Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing.

The “Force for change” initiative is designed to help support UNICEF and asks for fans help by donating $10. By doing so fans will also be entered into a competition to receive some amazing prices which include a trip to the set, a special advance screening and an appearance in the movie itself.

The X-Wing looks warn and battered on the set and whilst no details are given it seems obvious to speculate that this could well be none other than Luke Skywalker’s often used craft seen through out the original trilogy of movies. One major difference to spot straight away though is that this craft has faded blue lines down it’s exterior as opposed to the red lines on Luke’s fighter through out the original trilogy. Could this all be a big tease from JJ? Whilst we know for certain there will be an X-Wing fighter in the movie, it’s relationship to Luke Skywalker remains something of a mystery.
