The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Expansion Announced

If like us, you just can’t get enough of the phenomenal world of The Witcher 3 then you’ll likely be very pleased to hear that CD Projekt Red have revealed the games first meaty story DLC that will once again see us adventuring in the shoes of Geralt of Rivia.

The new DLC Hearts of Stone will bring with it over 10 hours of new content which will feature new characters, storylines, romances, monsters and a brand new Runewords system. The core story of Hearts of Stone will find Geralt hired to take down a purportedly immortal bandit captain called Olgierd von Everec. Alongside your quest players will have the opportunity to recruit a crew of break-in-artists, discover a bevy of new and unique creatures as well as party with a ghost. All in the day of a Witcher we guess.

Set to release on the 13th October the DLC will be available digitally and is included as part of the games season pass. Furthermore a fantastic physical ‘Special Edition’ of the new DLC will be available from select retailers that will package a download code for the add on content but more impressively it will include two decks of Gwent cards for you to enjoy the game outside of the digital world of The Witcher.

What do you think to this new DLC? With a game as excellent as The Witcher 3 we’re never going to complain about brand new content, even if we’ve still got a ridiculous amount of exploring to do in the core game! Are you excited for the new DLC? What would you like to see added to The Witcher 3 in future add-ons? Let us know in the comments!
