Bad news gamers, the incredible looking No Man’s Sky has come up as the latest highly anticipated title to be hit by delays. With the game originally slated to launch on June 24th in the UK it’s a shame to hear that we’ll have to wait a little longer to play it.
Announced via Sony’s own PlayStation Blog, Sean Murray from the games developer Hello Games explained the reason for the delay “As we approached our final deadlines, we realised that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards. I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to allow us to deliver something special!”.
The blog post continues to detail that the game will now be targeting an August 12th launch in the UK with a European release slightly earlier on the 10th. Whilst it’s certainly never great when games have delays it certainly seems like a logical choice from the developer, with August as a quieter gaming month too, perhaps this will work in their favour too.
What do you think to this delay? No Man’s Sky is at the top of our most anticipated games of the year, whilst it’s a shame it’s delayed we’re certainly happy to wait for the best experience possible. Let us know if you agree in the comments!
