Game Leak: Return to Survival Horror with Resident Evil: Revelations 2

Resident Evil: Revelations was a seminal return to the classic survival horror gameplay that the Resident Evil franchise is best known for, it gave us action, suspense and terror in equal measure and always left us feeling overwhelmed with the tiniest glimpse of hope. So, needless to say any more of that would be absolutely welcome within the gaming community. As such the leak coming from French site Gamer in a Box is one we’ll happily welcome, the leak appears to have come from two media images found hosted on the Xbox.com site which have since been removed.

Given the great commercial and critical success that Resident Evil: Revelations received both on it’s initial 3DS release and subsequent release on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC it’s certainly within the realms of possibility for this to be real. As many are speculating it’s likely that Capcom may choose to announce the new game at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show this September 18th-21st.

What do you think to the likelihood of a new entry under the Revelations bran? We’ll admit we’re very excited and whilst as of yet there’s no word on what consoles it’ll be coming to, we’d love to see it on the PS4 & Xbox One. Will you be getting the game if it turns out to be real?
