In a shocking surprise bit of news from the DC and Warner Bros studio team the entire list of all their upcoming movies into 2020 has been revealed and there are some pretty damn awesome surprises coming out in the list. We’re getting a whole host of standalone movies for many of DC’s big hitters and most excitingly the list also reveals which actors will be taking up those roles. Check out the full list and dates for each of the movies below:-
- Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice – Directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
- Suicide Squad – Directed by David Ayer (2016)
- Wonder Woman – Starring Gal Gadot (2017)
- Justice League Part One – Directed by Zack Snyder, Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams (2017)
- The Flash – Starring Ezra Miller (2018)
- Aquaman – Starring Jason Momoa (2018)
- Shazam – (2019)
- Justice League Part Two – Directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
- Cyborg – Starring Ray Fisher (2020)
- Green Lantern – (2020)
That’s a pretty awesomely fantastic list of movies and it’s great to get some more details on some of the big stars that have been circulating the rumour mill with confirmation of the characters they’ll be playing. Jason Momoa at last confirmed as Aquaman will be welcomed by many and will absolutely help bring some real gravitas and power to the character with many still seeing Momoa as TV’s Khal Drogo.
It’s also interesting to note the confirmation of a brand new Flash in the form of Ezra Miller, which suggests that Grant Gustin’s TV version of the character will be a separate incarnation. Or, and we’re going out on a limb here, could this be a second generation flash with Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen tied in somehow. Remembering that in the comics whilst Barry Allen was the original Flash he disappeared and the mantle was taken up by another super powered individual Wally West. Potentially a very exciting way of bringing the TV universes together, and more importantly allows the rather excellent Stephen Amell’s Oliver Quinn to be a part of the movie universe.
So there’s plenty to talk about with this news, and whilst we’ll get around to talking about as much of it as possible very soon it’d be great to hear what your thoughts are on this big announcement including when we’ll be seeing specific films and their new actors.
