Nintendo have showcased a really strong focus throughout their E3 digital presentation on their vast range of characters and properties and how they can be applied to new gameplay styles, reinvented to expand and improve their relevant franchises. One such game is the fantastic looking puzzler; Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
The game having originated from what was a great mini game in Nintendo’s recent Super Mario 3D world looks set to be fantastic. The game’s an exciting isometric 3D puzzler starring the loveable Toad, with a huge level of depth and variety. The gameplay involves Toad tracking down treasure across a variety of classic Marioesque locations, including those shown in the trailer of haunted mansions, Mario galaxy style planets as well as typical mushroom kingdom fare.
There will be a host of Boss characters and new abilities for Toad who unlike his normal self has plenty of defensive techniques up his sleeves including throwing turnips at his opponents Super Mario Bros 2 style. With a great change from classic Mario platforming, replacing it with unique puzzles, fun abilities and an ever so charming character we think that Captain Toad’s Treasure Tracker is a definite one to watch.
