You can now customise your Playstation 4 dashboard with themes

Much like its predecessor the Playstation 3, Sony’s newest console the Playstation 4 is soon (at last) set to receive themes so you can get rid of that rather dull swirly blue background should you so wish. The addition is set to hit the console with it’s next firmware update 2.0.

Sony revealed the news at their pre Tokyo Game Show press conference alongside other announcements including the official reveal of Capcom’s Resident Evil: Revelations 2 which will be making its way onto the PS4 as well. The themes are set to operate in a similar fashion to those on the PS3 meaning there’s likely to be plenty to choose from including unique dynamic ones with moving backgrounds alongside your standard coat of paint wallpaper style themes.
We’re quite happy to be getting the opportunity to have a play around and customise our PS4 it’s one of the things we found most annoying about the console since it’s launch so it’ll be great to give it a fresh look. Here’s hoping for some awesome themes to launch alongside the 2.0 firmware update. Do you think you’ll be changing the look of your PS4 or are you quite happy with that simple blue background?
