One of the most exciting upcoming movies of Marvel’s phase 2 cinematic universe is the intriguing Guardians Of The Galaxy. Whilst little has been revealed the plot of the film is set to center around the titular team with it’s leader Peter Quill known as Star Lord being in possession of a mysterious orb. The character is said to have been taken from earth at the age of 9 and as such has distant memories of his home planet and his childhood. Upon discovering that the orb in his possession has incredible powers and is being seeked out by the villains of the piece who are in the employ of Thanos, Quill is forced to team with a bunch of unlikely misfits to save the fate of the galaxy.
USA Today has exclusively revealed some new shots from the film so be sure to head over and check out the new screens which showcase the team, as well as their ship ‘The Milano’. Alongside this the news has broken that the first trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy will be shown on this Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel live show and will appear on the shows youtube channel shortly after.
Guardians Of The Galaxy stars; Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer with the voices of Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as Groot.
Guardians Of The Galaxy is set to hit cinemas August 1st 2014.
