It’s been a long time coming but finally we’re getting our first true look at Marvel and Netflix’s joint 5 series TV Venture with the first of those 5 shows; Marvel’s Daredevil. After the disappointing (but not entirely awful) 2003 film of the same name, Marvel and Netflix were left with something of a challenge to reinvigorate the character for a new and potentially sceptical audience. Thankfully if the new trailer is anything to go by, they’ll have succeeded with what looks like a realistic, morally grey and very gritty superhero crime/thriller/action combo. Check it out in the trailer below.
Tell us you don’t think that looks awesome, it’s dark, it’s more grounded and excellently gritty. How well this will tie in to the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe is yet to be seen, but we think this is a great step toward bringing more shades of morality to the MCU and in turn providing a balance between both the overtly powered Avengers and the average people they protect.
What do you think of this teaser trailer to Marvel’s Daredevil is it all you were hoping for or not? For us it’s certainly a promising start and if this is anything to go by then we should prepare ourselves for an amazing set of mini-series from Marvel and Netflix.
