Game Of Thrones Showrunners Apologise For The Consequences of Season 6 Episode The Door

*SPOILER ALERT*

As with most Game of Thrones related posts, there are spoilers for recent episode ‘The Door’ ahead, so proceed at your own risk!

With so many huge things happening in the most recent Game of Thrones episode ‘The Door’, you’d be forgiven for expecting showrunners Benioff and Weiss to be apologising about any of the many shocking moments from full frontal nudity, through big character deaths and the loss of yet another direwolf (Sad face). But, as it turns out they’re apologising for a rather unavoidable side effect of the episodes final big reveal – which we’ve discussed could ruin the show.

In a pre-taped video on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The showrunners stated “We’d like to apologise for Sunday’s episode” clarifying “Not for killing Hodor – we kill a lot of main characters.” finally confirming “We’re sorry for all the idiots that, from now on, will be shouting ‘Hodor!’ every time you go through a door”.

As you’ll have no doubt noticed the internet has been rammed full of Hodor themed jokes and memes since this weekends episode, mostly hilarious though potentially irritating in the long run we imagine and of course dangerous spoiler territory for those people yet to have caught up. What do you think to this, shall we say random, apology from the showrunners? Are you loving or hating the Hodor jokes and memes and what are your favourites? Let us know in the comments!
