It’s almost that time of year again and as anticipation starts to soar the folks at HBO have finally decided to fuel the hype fire releasing the first official trailer for Game of Thrones Season 5. As you’d expect it’s cryptic at best, briefly introducing us to some of the new key players in season 5 including the likes of Sand Snakes of Dorne as well as putting a lot of focus on two major series characters hinting at perhaps some big developments in their character arcs. Take a look at our first tease of what to expect from the coming season below.
As you can see the trailer certainly puts a lot of emphasis on Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen with suggestive tones that the paths of these two fan favourites could be set to cross this season as the march from Essos to Westeros continues for the dragon queen. We get a brief look at members of house Stark in their varying predicaments, although little is shown of Jon Snow and Arya Stark we feel perhaps a future trailer will put greater emphasis on the intriguingly developing storylines of these characters.
