Battlefield 4’s ‘Player Appreciation’ month

I can attest, as many others can too, that playing Battlefield 4 on Playstation 4 has been something of a challenge at times. With abundant issues and glitches enjoying a full solid game with friends had become a rarity, the issues affected all console released versions of Battlefield 4 and unfortunately marred what is an otherwise exceptional game.

Roll on ‘Player Appreciation’ month, to thank all those loyal gamers for sticking with them DICE the developer of Battlefield 4 have announced a spread of content for all coming throughout February. IGN talked to DICE’s general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson who stated “We appreciate all of the great feedback you continue to provide about all aspect of Battlefield 4. We take this very seriously and hearing directly from you has helped to make the experience better.”

February’s ‘Player Appreciation’ month will include; a new Bronze Battlepack with weapons, upgrades and more for every weekdqay logged into the game. On Saturdays and Sundays this will be upgraded to a Silver Battlepack. If you’re hoping for some free Gold Battlepacks then you’re in luck, DICE will be hosting community missions such as grabbing a set number of dogtags in a strict time frame that will net you one of these for a little extra effort.

In addition DICE is providing all players with free “shortcut” bundles. For standard players these bundles will unlock all grenade and handgun options in the game. If you’re a premium subscriber you’ll get an even better bundle that will unlock all DMRs and shotguns. Just to nicely tidy everything up the month will finish with a full on double XP weekend. Best get yourself prepared.

It’s great to see DICE going all out to appease fans and give something back, it sucks that the game has been littered with issues but it’s great to see a developer really focusing on their community to resolve the problems and additionally to provide all this extra content as a way of apologising. Will you be logging in to Battlefield 4 this month?
