Back To The Future: The Musical?

Yeah, you did read that right. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the exceptional 1985 movie, Back to The Future is coming to the West End to debut in London 2015.

The original films writing and directing duo of Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale have teamed up once again to adapt the original movie script for the stage. With a musical soundtrack compiled by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard whom is a six-time grammy winner with previous theater credits including Ghost: The Musical, he also co-wrote Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill. Alan Silvestri of course creating the original score for the Back to The Future movie amongst many other huge hits including Cast Away and Forrest Gump.

With the musical debuting in London it’s journey to the American Broadway will rely on it’s reception in the UK. Personally i’m not really a musical fan, that said i’d love to see how they’d convert the time hopping journey of Marty McFly and Doc Brown to the stage. How about you? Do you think you’d be tempted to go and see ‘Back To The Future: The Musical’?
