At GAMR we’re keen on our consoles and have been enjoying both the Playstation 4 and it’s Microsoft competitor the PS4. With the time we’ve spent enjoying them we thought it’d be great to tell you, just why, the Playstation 4 is awesome. So without further ado here’s our top 6 reasons that you’ll find yourself really loving Sony’s Playstation 4.

1. Playstation Plus

Unlike the Xbox One’s monthly ‘Xbox Live’ fee that simply gets you access to online gaming, Sony’s equivalent ‘Playstation Plus’ gives you a whole host of awesome extras including online gaming access. With Playstation Plus you receive several free games every month, not only for the Playstation 4 but also for Playstation Vita and Playstation 3 if you have those as well. So far the free games that have been available have included fantastic titles such as Don’t Starve and Outlast amongst others making the value unprecedented.

2. Exclusive Games

Sony’s consoles always come hand in hand with a diverse and interesting spread of exclusive titles. The Playstation 4 truly caters for gamers of all kinds, with an amazing set of awesome exclusives including the likes of inFAMOUS: Second Son, the action packed and thoroughly enjoyable title that caused sales of the Playstation 4 to double. Alongside this there’s a host of other brilliant exclusives including Killzone: Shadow Fall and the upcoming The Order: 1886, DriveClub, The Last Of Us: Remastered and of course a brand new entry in the Uncharted series.

3. It’s home to awesome Indie games

Sony has shown continued high quality support for Indie developers since the PS3 era, ensuring that both the best games are brought to the console and further funding and working hand in hand with developers to create new, unique and exciting experiences. The PS4 is no different with a slew of brilliant indie titles including some amazing exclusives that give gamers something more than the generic AAA blockbusters the gaming landscape has become used to.
